Beacon Hill: The Urban Food Forest **Past Enviro Runner-up**

Glen Herlihy and his team of volunteers began developing the Beacon Hill food forest in Seattle Washington back in 2009. The goal of the food forest is to not only grow a sustainable source of food for the community, but also to inspire the community to work together to rehabilitate their local ecosystem. This video captures the first phase of their venture, which showcases the initial stages of the development for the food forest as well as the what kind of positive impacts this project brings to the community.
