This piece follows local Chicago photographer Mark Brown. He loves photographing children and families and uses his background in comedy and improv to make each session a memorable experience. He also specializes in taking photos of children with special needs and disabilities. In order to give back Mark donates his time to Best Buddies Illinois and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, photographing children at home and abroad. He has found his calling capturing the spirit of others through his photos.

Allison Freed is a junior film and digital media major at Loyola University Chicago. She also has minors in Theatre and Marketing. Outside of the classroom she performs with the improv team at a local comedy theatre. Allison considers herself first and foremost a story teller–no matter the medium she uses she strives to bring truth and share joy through her work. Allison plans to bring together her passions of comedy and storytelling through a career in TV producing and writing.
