Miles McCracken is an inspirational young man whose love of life and optimism shines through in everything he does. He goes out of his way each and every day to ensure that his friends and loved ones are happy, even though his own life has never been a smooth ride. Miles experienced hardships early in life that some of his peers could only imagine, but remained steadfast in creating his own identity. He wasn’t a “jock” or the stereotypical “cool kid” in high school– Miles is in a league of his own. His kind heart and comical personality helped him form friendships with no stereotypical high school boundaries. Through the ups and downs in life, Miles taught himself how to be a self-sufficient adult and continues to make the community a better place.

She was named the 2016 Missouri High School Journalism Student of the Year by the Journalism Education Association. Lindsay is an avid video storyteller and photographer, and her entrepreneur business “Lindsay Rose Pictures” in 2014. She enjoys photographing live music, traveling, and using media to highlight the good in the world.

Miles McCracken here, and I would like to point out I almost cried the first time I saw this video (I almost cried the second and third time as well). Anyway, I wasn’t all for Lindsay doing a story of just about me at first, but i am forever grateful that she did. I just wanted people to know that they should always keep their head up and I wanted to make everyone’s day a better day than yesterday. It’s the small things that can change people. A simple “have a nice day” or a kind compliment can impact anyone more than you think. I hope I left a good legacy at that school and I just wanted to make people happy 🙂
