This short documentary gives a brief glimpse into what life was like for a famous gardener, Isamu Taniguchi, who was once locked up in a concentration camp and created Taniguchi Gardens, the Japanese Botanical Garden at Zilker Park, Austin, TX during his latter years.

Ji Soo O has been making films since high school and attend The University of Texas at Austin as a Radio-Television-Film program undergraduate. Her most recent film as a director is Taniguchi Gardens, which was officially selected and screened at Austin Asian American Film Festival. She was a producer in CTS Korean broadcast television where she produced I’m Rejoicing Night and Day, and she produced and edited SNS educational videos for Korean politicians while she was a project assistant for Minjudang’s social communication project. She has also directed and edited a number of short narrative and documentary films.
