Backstreet Tales is a project that has the aim of telling life of the suburbs of Rome and its inhabitants with the narrative form of the documentary.  It was presented for the first time at the contest “ Mamma Roma e i suoi quartieri”, where it won the Special Jury Prize.  For the contest Stories Lived, we decided to offer the story of Vanessa, a South American transgender who lives in Pigneto, a problematic neighborhood of Rome.
